Dr Chloe O'Dea
Breast and Thyroid Surgeon and Surgical Oncologist
Dr Chloe O'Dea graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2005 and went on to complete her internship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and then General Surgical training across all the major public hospitals in Adelaide, as well as in Port Augusta. She obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in General Surgery in 2015. Subsequently she completed 3 years of subspecialty Breast and Endocrine Surgical training at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Chloe has worked as a Visiting Surgeon at Flinders Medical Centre in the Breast and Endocrine Unit, as well as covering General Surgery on call, since 2020. She also has an appointment as Visiting Medical Specialist at BreastScreenSA.
She is a member of the Breast, Endocrine and Women in Surgery sections of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and also an accredited member of BreastSurgANZ and General Surgeons Australia (GSA).
Chloe has a strong interest in teaching and is involved in tutoring and mentoring surgical trainees, as well as teaching and supervising medical students through Flinders University.
Her interests outside of work include spending time with her 2 boys, family and friends, as well as netball and running
