Dr Iwona Gileff

Dr Iwona Gileff is a General Physician with a special interest in non-interventional Cardiology, Endocrinology - predominantly Diabetes, Thyroid and Osteoporosis and peri-operative medicine.
Dr Gileff's medical undergraduate studies in Poland were interrupted by migration to Australia. She then graduated from Flinders University medical school in 1995 and completed her RACP fellowship in 2003 through appointments at Flinders Medical Centre, Repatriation General and Noarlunga Hospitals in Adelaide. She gained her vast experience working in General Medicine, Intensive Care, Cardiology and Endocrine departments as a Registrar and then Consultant Physician, between 1995 and 2019.
She currently consults at Flinders Private Hospital where she sees patients with complex and undeferential general medical and endocrine conditions. She also consults at SPORTSMED·SA at Payneham where she sees patients for preoperative medical assessment undergoing orthopaedic surgery at SPORTSMED·SA Hospital.
She admits patients with medical conditions to Flinders Private Hospital. She also consults on medical patients at Griffith Rehabilitation Hospital and follows up patients at SPORTSMED·SA Hospital postoperatively.
Dr Gileff was born in Poland and speaks fluent Polish, is an avid reader and traveller. She is a Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
